Portable Gym Blender
A blender that needs no electricity.
A portable blender for gym shakes and smoothies. You press and spin the lid, and a gear system turns that into fast blade rotation.
01Brief
My first full product design project
Product Design (1) was the first course that took us through the whole process: research, sketching, modeling the parts and presenting a final product.
02Idea
Blend anywhere
Gym shakes and smoothies are made on the go, often with no power outlet nearby. So I designed a blender without electricity. A press-and-spin lid drives a reciprocating gear system that turns each press into fast blade rotation.
03Design
Three parts
The lid carries an ergonomic handle and the press-and-spin mechanism. The middle is an insulated bottle that screws in at both ends. The base holds the gears and the blades and has a side lever.
