01Basics

Lines, forms and hands

It started with construction: cubes, cylinders and cones in perspective, then hands gripping handles.

02Shading

Grey markers

Next came shading with grey markers to make flat lines look solid.

Then full color: metal, wood and plastic, each with its own reflections.

04Final

Nike Invincible 3 study

My final board is a sketch study of a real shoe, the Nike Invincible 3, with views, dimensions and material notes. The smiley on the insole and the "Smile for miles" stamp are my own addition.
